The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) is actively addressing issues related to underground water loss within its water supply system. The current challenge lies in identifying and locating leak points efficiently. To overcome this hurdle, the MWA is planning to implement artificial intelligence (AI) technology for the precise detection of leaks in the plumbing system.
This innovative approach involves deploying devices, known as Fido Bugs (Sensors), strategically placed at various points within the plumbing infrastructure to meticulously measure abnormal signals. The collected data is subsequently transmitted to an artificial intelligence analysis system, with the results promptly displayed on tablets or smartphones. This streamlined process allows for accurate identification of leaks, facilitating swift repairs and ultimately minimizing water loss.
This is one of the technologies and solutions that will be showcased at Thai Water Expo 2024. The show is the sole dedicated showcase for Water resource and Wastewater technology in Thailand. This edition is scheduled for July 3-5, 2024, at QSNCC, Bangkok, Thailand. As the most comprehensive international exhibition and conference of the year in water and wastewater technology, Thai Water Expo covers vital areas such as sewage, rainwater harvesting, particle separation, removal technology, residual treatment, sludge thickening, and more.
