THREE TRENDS TO SHAPE THE ENERGY SECTOR IN 2023

Today, green and clean energy continues to proliferate, thanks to strong demand, falling costs and a host of new clean energy incentives from both the private and public sectors. Here are the three trends that are expected to shape this transformation of energy in 2023.

AI in Energy Efficiency - Energy management systems are complex and there is a lot of data. AI will be an important part in the smart grid system that can manage various renewable energy sources and process them to deliver power, efficiently.
Renewable Energy Technology - Renewable energy production such as solar energy continues to grow steadily. The technology of developing solar cells is increasingly efficient. The development of a solar power generation system that integrates with energy storage systems including hybrid projects with hydroelectric power generation continues apace.
Energy Storage System (ESS) technology – this is essential so that the stored energy can be used when needed and which can be stored as battery or as a pumped-back retention system or as fuel cell storage systems.

These new technologies together with some of the latest innovations in energy resources will be featured at the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2023 (ASEW), ASEAN's Most Comprehensive Energy and Environment Exhibition. The show will be held from 30 August – 1 September 2023, QCNCC, Bangkok, Thailand.
