According to the report, machine orders from Japan to Thailand in October 2023 increased by 12.5%. The orders from within Japan for the same month closed at 33,644 million yen (232 million U.S. dollars), marking a 25.3% decrease from the previous month. This figure represents a significant 24.5% decrease compared to the same month in the previous year and continues a 14-month consecutive decline. Notably, orders from the automotive industry decreased by 22.4%, machinery industry by 20.0%, and electronics and precision industry by 40.3% when compared to September.
International orders in October 2023 closed at 78,409 million yen (535 million U.S. dollars), showing an 11.0% decrease from the previous month and an 18.7% decrease from the same month in the previous year, marking the 10th consecutive month of year-over-year decline.
