This session will discuss the final version of the Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) for Europe, how the EU Member states are working on their roadmaps, a Scandinavian view on Sustainability and design standards, and some new innovative packaging innovations coming out of start ups in Israel.

This session will discuss how to find the balance between evidence-based Lifecycle Assessment, food safety, food waste and packaging waste and how packaging plays such an important role in this discussion.

SESSION 6: Trends in Sustainability & Recyclability for Paper & Renewable Materials
|
|
|
When discussing sustainable packaging design you can not go past Paperisation, Renewable Materials and fibre solutions. The challenge is to ensure that the materials and packs meet pulpablity standards or, when the materials are not able to be collected in kerbside collection understanding how to develop a product stewardship program to capture and reprocess the materials.

SESSION 7: Global & Regional Updates on the Circular Economy for Packaging
|
|
|
This session will discuss the current state of play for Soft Plastics and flexibles packaging across the globe and how recycled content, mono material packaging and advanced and chemical recycling all have a role to play in the future of these materials.
